Description:
Samples from a chronological sequence of soils at Meserve Glacier are differentiated by chemical and mineralogical means and by surface weathering criteria. Physical and chemical weathering criteria. Physical and chemical weathering rates throughout the valley vary significantly in response to differences in climate. Weathering environments in Wright Valley vary and a tentative correlation of glaciations is based on descriptions of soil profiles on representative till surfaces.
