Description:
The stability of glacier margins in historic time in many areas in Antarctic suggests that the regimen of the glaciers is sluggish, and some glaciers are close to equilibrium. Photographic evidence on the west side of McMurdo Sound region indicates that there has been no appreciable change in the position of many glacier termini or glacier thickness between 1911 and 1958.
