Symposium on Antarctic geochemistry (Nankyoku chikyukaagaku shinpozium no wadai).
In July 1976 the National Institute for Polar Research sponsored the first Symposium on Antarctic Geochemistry in Tokyo. A number of earth scientists from Japan and New Zealand reported on work carried out in the McMurdo Sound, Showa Statoin, and Yamato Mountains regions. Various new analytical techniques were also discussed. Twenty-eight contributions to this meeting will be published by the Institute in the near future in a volume entitled Antarctic geochemistry.
