Small-scale geomorphic mapping over the Lower Taylor Valley was carried out. Special attention was paid to the distribution and relationship between deposits causes by local glaciation, drainage glaciers, and Ross Ice Shelf invasions. Additionally, longitudinal profiles along valleys cutting the terraces were measured around Lake Fryxell and near the Ross Sea. Indications are that several terrace levels are at similar heights on both sides of Lower Taylor Valley. This work will establish the relationship between the two topographic bases (or levels) conditioning the erosion process in each area.
